I could see the difference after my 1st treatment.
I felt my toes were no longer touching each other.
The treatment was really painful, but the pain would disappear once I left the clinic.
After I got home, I touched treated area to try and mimic the pain I had felt at the clinic, but there was none.
Before I went to the clinic, I couldn’t walk for long hours because of my Hallux Valgus pain.
However, after I received my 1st treatment, I could walk for an hour and a half.
Q.You have a Hallux Valgus, could you tell us when did it start and what was the condition.
A.I have pain in my feet, especially, my left foot.
I usually take a walk for an hour and a half, but recently it’s hard to keep walking because of the pain.
My left foot hurts, but I didn’t think it was Hallux Valgus. The pain gradually got worse over the last 2 years and 6 months.
I didn’t have much pain when I walked barefoot, so I tried to avoid wearing heels whenever possible.
Recently, I had pain in the evening even when wearing athletic shoes.
I’m a beautician and during my work I used to take my shoes off when nobody was watching me.
Q.Did you try anything to solve the pain?
A.I didn’t do anything special, but I sometimes massaged my foot in the bath.
Q.How did you hear about this clinic?
A.My friend’s friend had sought treatment at the clinic for general fatigue. My friend then said to me ‘come to think of it, you said your feet hurt’, and introduced me to this clinic.
Q.Have you ever undergone other massage or relaxation techniques?
A.No, I haven’t. Maybe I had a massage when I went to a Japanese Onsen (hot spa). I had foot massage for a bit when I was in junior high school.
Q.Did you try to see a doctor or seek out other clinics?
A.My joints are not strong and I sometimes saw a doctor because of dislocations. But I didn’t seek out other clinics.
Q.Why did you eventually choose this clinic?
A.The clinic is near my house, so I decided to come just after my friend introduced me.
Q.What are your first impressions (atmosphere, practitioner etc.)?
A.There is a nice atmosphere, so I feel really relaxed and comfortable. My first impression of her was that she was awesome! From the first meeting I felt she was a really good-natured and mellow person. And as it turns out she really is a kind person.
Q.How long did each session take? Did it hurt?
A.One session took 30 to 40 minutes. It was really comfortable. I felt my blood circulation was getting better. At the beginning, the treatment on my left foot was really painful, but gradually it became enjoyable.
Q.Could you feel any changes after the first session? Which session did you feel a reduction in your pain?
A.I could see the difference after my 1st treatment. I felt my toes were no longer touching each other. The treatment was really painful, but the pain would disappear once I left the clinic. After I got home, I touched the treated area to try and mimic the pain I had felt at the clinic, but there was none. Before I went to the clinic, I couldn’t walk for long hours because of my Hallux Valgus pain. However, after I received my 1st treatment, I could walk for an hour and a half. I’ve had 3 treatments. Now I’m taking treatment on my right foot. Compared to my left foot, I have much less pain but unfortunately my way of walking appears to have a negative affect on my Hallux Valgus.
Q.What point were you happy you had decided to come to this clinic?
A.I’m starting to worry less about my feet. I don’t suffer from sensitivity to cold but my feet became warm. Now that my feet a getting better I am able to exercise and have noticed my muscles starting to build up.
Q.How often do you come here for check-ups?
A.Once a week.
Q.Did you notice any differences in your daily life?
A.I wear the same shoes as before, but I don’t feel any pain now. Today, she discovered a problem I didn’t even know about with the top of my foot and carried out treatment. I always look forward to seeing my progress when each session finishes.
Q.Do you have any plans for after care?
A.I’d like to have regular check-ups.
Q.Do you have a message for people who may have similar symptoms?
A.I think that most of women has penchant for Hallux Valgus. I know a person who has really bad foot conditions, I want to say to her, ‘I know a good practitioner and your problem will get better for sure’, or ‘You don’t have to take your shoes off while you have meeting’. Hope they will come to see her before their problem get worse.
Most of the people blame their pain to shoes, but I don’t think that not all cause those problems. There are not many people who try to buy their shoes with measuring every detail. Problem is not in their shoes, in their foot…
